There's Snow on the Ground!

Entrance to Deshka Landing!! Store/Office is on the first floor, my apartment is on the second floor! WELCOME!Roger is attaching the log to the loader. No plowing now, we are packing the snow down to get a good even surface in the parking lot.
The loader is warmed up and ready for me!
Fire it up!
Action shot of me driving with the log trailing me!
My view out the front window.
The entire parking lot took about 2.5 hours to drag! Watch out for the cars and trailers! View of the Alaskan Range to the West.
I was howling at the moon here!
This makes it all worthwhile! A view of Mt. McKinley from the drivers seat!!

I once again made a trip from Cleveland to Alaska!

Loaded up and ready to go!Cheapest gas I saw was in the middle of Iowa. Farmland in western Iowa. Nebraska fields!
I wish I would see more of these around instead of coal power plants! Heading out of Salt Lake City in the morning.
Now in the Northwest! In line for the ferry in Bellingham, WA. The Malaspina awaits! We are going to drive straight in!
Bellingham, WA from the ship.
These brave souls were going to camp out on the deck. It rained the first two days and it wasn't very warm. I'm not sure if they just went inside to sleep in a chair.
This is the sister ship the Taku! This is exactly what the Malaspina looks like! Coming into Ketchikan!
This is what the car deck looks like when it is full.
Stern view.
Lucky for me I met a guy that had extra bunks in his room!! He let me sleep on one.
It stopped raining after 48 hours!! It was a toasty 40 degrees on Monday.
A lonely lighthouse!
The ship turned into the wind, it is cold now!
The sun!! Yeah!!!
Glacial ice! This is the forward viewing lounge.Haines, Alaska!! My destination! Waiting for my turn to get off the ship!
